Principal’s Message

Aristotle has rightly said “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."

In this Golden jubilee year of Kendriya Vidyalaya Berhampur, it is indeed a matter of great jubilation and hilarity to say that Kendriya Vidyalaya Berhampur has entered in to the 50th year of its existence. I feel immense pleasure to be a part of this epoc making organization which stood No. 1 among the educational institutions all over India in the Brand equity survey undertaken by AC Neilson.

To achieve academic excellence of an institution with a good human value system. I do believe in “If you want a thing done well, do it yourself”. Competing with self I feel great pleasure in finding the students ready to expand the horizons of their knowledge, skills and aptitudes by dreaming big and real dreams with sincerity and hard work. The excellent academic result of the session 2016-17 is the best proof of quantity and quality as well.

The mission and vision of the school is to provide comfortable and productive compartments to the new five year olds who enter first time in class I to get knowledge and to leave the school to serve others as responsible human beings who are not only well equipped to face the challenges of 21st century’s education scenario but also ready to fit in APJ Abdul Kalam’s thought “Failure will never overtake me if my definition to succeed is strong enough-with my involvement I can’t fail.”  The Roadmap for 2017-18 has already been prepared in consultation with the stake holders of the Vidyalaya. Every staff member have taken a pledge to compete with their previous performance and climb up in the ladder of success. Together we can and Together we will.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Berhampur enhances to develop students who can create their own image inspite of the first generation of learners, with the new scheme of evaluation, many challenges and changes for all the stake holders  in the education scenario. Thus incubating tomorrow’s scientists, doctors, artists, bureaucrats, etc.

I wish to mention that Rs. 12.5 lakhs has been received from NITI Ayog for the first installment of set up of ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab). This is the only school in south odisha and one of the three Kendriya Vidyalayas of the state of odisha of getting such an honor.

I do believe it is our homes, communities and society as a whole can contribute to creativity and imagination of our students in the path of progress and success. The need of this hour is --

Can we make an education system which will retain the smiles on the faces of our children? " - A P J Abdul Kalam
